Dr. J.R. Bangera
Managing Director
Dr. J. R. Bangera is the Managing Director of Premier Starch Products Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, and a distinguished leader in India’s MSME and industrial development landscape.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Mysore and a Post Graduate in Business administration from Bangalore University. Over the decades, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening India’s small and medium enterprise ecosystem through both business leadership and public service.
Dr. Bangera has served as President of the Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA), Past President of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), Past President of Laghu Udyog Bharathi – Karnataka, and Past General Secretary of Peenya Industries Association, among several other leadership positions. He has also been associated with key institutions including SIDBI, KSSIDC, KSMIC, KEONICS, and the Karnataka State Planning Board.
An internationally recognised MSME advocate, he has presented papers at UNIDO and UNCTAD (Geneva) on business development, technology, and innovation for small industries. He has also completed the SME Management Development Programme in Japan under the AOTS scholarship.
In recognition of his contribution to MSMEs, Dr. Bangera has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate and has served as a Member of the National MSME Board, Government of India (2021–2023).
